Question: I can not seem to get the radar to start! How do i start it?
Answer:
1: Rezz the radar base on ground.
2: Click on the base and choose tiny or normal antenna.
3: Wait until the radar has fully unpacked itself
4: Look at the top of the radar-roof. There should be ether a tiny black ball/sphere, or a rotating radar-dish there. click on it and the radar will start within a few seconds
Optionally you can actually take the radar-dish/sphere into your inventory and rez it in another SIM to be able to remote-view another SIM too.
Question: How do I use the email-notification feature?
Answer: This is easy, just use the command “/3email + email-address” in chat.
Example: /3email thomasconover@example.com
To deactivate email alerts later, use command: /3email remove
Question: How do I use the iPhone Push-alerts feature?
Answer: Please read the How to use iPhone Alerts section on this web-site
Question: The email-notifications seems not to work properly, what’s wrong?
Answer: There are various things that might be wrong:
1: You have mis-spelled your email address. Please double-check your spelling.
2: Your email has a spam-filter that prevents the alerts from reaching you. Many popular web-based email accounts like Yahoo, Google, Microsoft Live etc seems to classify emails sent from Secondlife gadgets as spam by default. Please check your spam filter, and also make sure you have whitelisted the secondlife-address in the filters.
3: Sometimes the Secondlfie email server stops working in a particular SIM/Region due to extreme lag. The current only way to fix this is by requesting a SIM-Reboot from the SIM-Owner.
4: If all above fails, I recommend using the built-in iPhone Push-Message alerts instead. Generally the iPhone Push-Message alert system is much more stable on long term than the secondlife email system.
Question: xxx failed re-sync attempts - how do i restart the radar if i get this message?
When the radar seems to have stopped working and it displays a warning-message on top of the base, here is how to make it work again:
Solution A:
-------------
1: click on the radar base and choose "killsensor" command
(May take several minutes before radar-dome turns black color)
2: Wait a couple of minutes until the radar-dome color turns BLACK color
3: click on radar-base and choose what kind of sensor-antenna you want to use
4: pick up the fresh created antenna and deploy it at the desired SIM
5: The radar should now start to operate again without loss of old statistics
Solution B:
-------------
If solution (A) fails, try this:
1: click on the mail-function radar-base and choose "killsensor" command
(May take several minutes before radar-dome turns black color)
2: Rez a new radar-base from your inventory, close to your old radar base (closer than 10 meters)
3: Wait a few seconds until the "transfer'O'tronic" asks you "Compatible data-transfer objects is found".
4: Choose "YES" in the menu.
5: Choose the correct radar to transfer from, and then click "Transmit"
6: Wait a few seconds until both radar's confirms that the transfer-process has finished
7: Delete the old mail-function radar
8: click on the new radar-base and choose what kind of sensor-antenna you want to use
9: pick up the fresh created antenna and deploy it at the desired SIM
10: The radar should now start to operate again without loss of old statistics
Solution C:

If solution (A) and (B) fails, try this:
1: Rez a new radar-base from your inventory, close to your old radar base (closer than 10 meters)
2: Wait a few seconds until the "transfer'O'tronic" asks you "Compatible data-transfer objects is found".
3: Choose "YES" in the menu.
4: Choose the correct radar to transfer from, and then click "Transmit"
5: Wait a few seconds until both radar's confirms that the transfer-process has finished
6: Delete the old mail-function radar
7: click on the new radar base and choose "killsensor" command
(May take several minutes before radar-dome turns black color)
8: Wait a couple of minutes until the radar-dome color turns BLACK color
9: click on radar-base and choose what kind of sensor-antenna you want to use
10: pick up the fresh created antenna and deploy it at the desired SIM
11: The radar should now start to operate again without loss of old statistics
